The true Compassion !!!

Once Buddha was in an assembly and a gentleman came to him. He was furious. He thought that Buddha was doing something wrong. He was attracting people and everybody had begun meditating. The people had become very calm and quiet. The gentleman was a restless businessman. He had found thrash his children were going and sitting wig Buddha and meditating for two hours every day. And he thought that if his children would be engaged in business, they could make more money and be better off. What would they get by sitting for two hours with somebody with their eyes closed? So he was angry and wanted to teach Buddha a lesson.

He walked up to Buddha but as soon as he came near him all his thoughts disappeared. But he was still shaking with anger and could not speak. No words would come out of his mouth. So he spat on Buddha's face. And Buddha just smiled. However, all the other disciples there became furious but could not react because Buddha was there. So, everybody restrained themselves.

The man could not stay any longer because he thought that if he stayed any longer, he would burst out. He went away. He could not sleep the whole night. For the first time in his life, he had met somebody who would just smile when he spat on his face. He began shivering. His world had turned topsy-turvy.

The next day he went to Buddha fell at his feet. He asked for forgiveness and said that he was not aware of what he had done. However, Buddha said that he could not forgive him. The disciples were shocked to hear this. Buddha was so compassionate and forgave everybody. How could he not forgive that person! But Buddha explained that the person had done nothing for which forgiveness was required. However, the person pointed out that he was the same person who had spat on Him the previous day. Then, Buddha said that, that person was not there anymore and, if he ever met him, he would forgive. Further x Buddha pointed out that the person had done no wrong to the man standing before him.

That is compassion.

Compassion is not making a person a culprit and then forgiving him. Your forgiveness should be such that the person who is being forgiven, does not even know that you are forgiving them. They should not even feel guilty for a mistake. That is the right type of forgiveness. If you make someone feel guilty about their mistake, then you have not forgiven them. That guilt itself is the punishment. It is good enough to eat the wrongdoer. Knowledge takes you away from guilt and puts you on a pedestal where you do not see the world at all. You do now see the world of the small mind and its chitchat. It appears insignificant.

In the path of True Freedom

To be in the unlimited is to be free from getting trapped in the limited.

Thought to Ponder:

In any situation, I need to go beyond what is visible. If I see that I will be able to see the larger picture instead of getting caught up in the triviality of the situation. Everything becomes clear and meaningful when I have the consciousness of seeing it in the context of the larger picture.

Point to Practice:

Today I will make an effort to understand the context of the situation rather than getting caught up with the situation itself. For example, if someone is shouting at me, I will try and understand why he got upset and try to give him what he wants or at least the feeling that I understand. Also, I will try and understand that the anger is temporary, but the person as a friend is permanent.

PERSON HINDERING YOUR GROWTH IS DEAD

One day all the employees reached the office and they saw a big advice on the door on which it was written:
“Yesterday the person who has been hindering your growth in this company passed away. We invite you to join the funeral”.

In the beginning, they all got sad for the death of one of their colleagues, but after a while they started getting curious to know who was that man who hindered the growth of his colleagues and the company itself.

The excitement in the gym was such that security agents were ordered to control the crowd within the room. The more people reached the coffin, the more the excitement heated up.

Everyone thought: “Who is this guy who was hindering my progress? Well, at least he died!”

One by one the thrilled employees got closer to the coffin, and when they looked inside it they suddenly became speechless. They stood nearby the coffin, shocked and in silence, as if someone had touched the deepest part of their soul.

There was a mirror inside the coffin: everyone who looked inside it could see himself. There was also a sign next to the mirror that said: “There is only one person who is capable to set limits to your growth: IT IS YOU”.

Your life does not change when your boss changes, when your friends change, when your centre changes. Your life changes when YOU change, YOU become soul /Super soul Conscious, when YOU go beyond your limiting beliefs.

If you want to live a Happy Life...

Your ability to set goals and make plans for their accomplishment is the “master skill” of success. The development of this ability and your making it a lifelong habit will do more to assure high success and achievement in your life than any other skill you can possibly learn.

As with anything, you only own the process of goal setting by learning it and then by applying it over and over for yourself until it becomes automatic, like breathing in and breathing out. Your goal must be to become a continuous goal setter. You must become so clear and focused about what it is you want that every single hour of every day you find yourself doing things that are moving you in the direction of your own choosing.

Here is a remarkable fact. Your intelligence is malleable over about 25 IQ points. That means that you can become smarter and smarter by working on your mental muscles just as you can become stronger and stronger by working on your physical muscles. And with clear, specific goals, that you are working toward every single day, you find yourself acting more and more intelligently in everything you do.

The good news is that you have an automatic, cybernetic, goal-achieving mechanism built into your brain. Human beings are the only creatures on earth that have this particular capacity. You automatically achieve the goals that you have set for yourself, whatever they are. This “success mechanism” works night and day, consciously and unconsciously and both drives you and motivates you toward achieving the things that you have decided that you want. It is almost like a light switch. Once you turn it on, it stays on until you do something to turn it off.

Here are my 6 steps to create YOUR mission statement:
1. Your mission statement is always written in the present tense, as though you have already become the person that you have described.
2. It is always positive rather than negative. And it is always personal.
3. Once you have developed a mission statement like this, you can read it, review it, edit it, and upgrade it regularly. You can add additional qualities to it and more clearly define the qualities you’ve already listed. It becomes your personal credo, your philosophy of life, your statement of beliefs and a guide to your behavior in all your interactions with others.
4. Each day, you can evaluate your behaviors and compare them against the standard that you have set in this statement.
5. Over time, a remarkable thing will happen. As you read and review your personal mission statement, you will find yourself, almost unconsciously, shaping your words and conforming your behaviors so that you are more and more like the ideal person you have defined. People will notice the change in you almost immediately.
6. Over time, you will find that you are actually creating within yourself the kind of character and personality that you most admire in others. You will have become the molder and the shaper of your own personal destiny.
Action Exercises
1. First, imagine that one of your customers was going to meet with one of your prospects. What would you want him to say about you? How could you behave with your customer to assure that he says these things?
2. Second, talk to yourself positively all the time. Feed your mind with positive messages that describe your goals and the person you want to be.

What is your personal mission statement? :)

WHEN A LIZARD CAN, WHY CAN'T WE?

WHEN A LIZARD CAN, WHY CAN'T WE?

This is a true story that happened in Japan.

In order to renovate the house, someone in Japan breaks open the wall. Japanese houses normally have a hollow space between the wooden walls. When tearing down the walls, he found that there was a lizard stuck there because a nail from outside hammered into one of its feet. He sees this, feels pity, and at the same time curious, as when he checked the nail, it was nailed 5 years ago when the house was first built !!! What happened?

The lizard has survived in such position for 5 years!!!!!!!!!! In a dark wall partition for 5 years without moving, it is impossible and mind-boggling.

Then he wondered how this lizard survived for 5 years! without moving a single step--since its foot was nailed! So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it has been doing, and what and how it has been eating. Later, not knowing from where it came, appears another lizard, with food in its mouth. Ah! He was stunned and touched deeply. For the lizard that was stuck by nail, another lizard has been feeding it for the past 5 years... Imagine? it has been doing that untiringly for 5 long years, without giving up hope on its partner.

Imagine what a small creature can do that a creature blessed with a brilliant mind can't. Please never abandon your loved ones Never Say U R Busy When They Really Need You ...
You May Have The Entire World At Your Feet..... But You Might Be The Only World To Them.... A Moment of negligence might break the very heart which loved you against all odds.. Before you say something just remember..it takes a moment to Break but an entire lifetime to make... :)

Who am I & How / why I am sometimes forced to act insanely

Here is that verse which you are searching for........

In the Vedic literature (Katha upanishad 1.3.3–4)
it is said:

The individual is the passenger in the car of the material body, and
intelligence is the driver. Mind is the driving instrument, and the senses are
the horses. The self is thus the enjoyer or sufferer in the association of the
mind and senses. So it is understood by great thinkers.”

This verse has been summarised in Bhagvad gita as below verse

BG 6.34: For the mind is restless, turbulent, obstinate and very strong, OKṛṣṇa, and to subdue it, I think, is more difficult than controlling the wind.

BG 6.35: Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa said: O mighty-armed son of Kuntī, it is undoubtedly very difficult to curb the restless mind, but it is possible by suitable practice and by detachment.

BG 6.36:  For one whose mind is unbridled, self-realization is difficult work.  But he whose mind is controlled and who strives by appropriate means is  assured of success. That is My opinion.

here's my answer for the knowing the mechanism:
Also answers the question : Every person has two sides, The ONE and The OTHER.one is the prime part of us ,other is evil.but why do we feel happy when we do evil practices influenced by OTHER? Why not we listen only to the ONE?

Think - Eat - Save : Simple Tips on the eve of World Environment Day

The United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated globally towards creating positive environmental actions, involving people from all walks of life to come together to ensure a cleaner, greener and brighter outlook for themselves and for the future generations. WED is celebrated every year on June 5.

The theme for this year’s celebrations is Think. Eat. Save, an anti-food waste and food loss campaign. The campaign aims to encourage reduce food wastage.

According to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), every year 1.3 billion tonnes of food is getting wasted. The vast amount of food going to the landfills amount to a major squandering of resources, including water, land, energy, labour, capital. In addition, it needlessly produces greenhouse gas emissions, contributing to global warming and climate changes. It is also estimated that 1 out of every 7 people in the world go to bed hungry and more than 20,000 children under the age of 5 die daily from hunger!

This World Environment Day, team members are invited to join the cause to prevent food wastage. In our everyday lives, we too are wasting food in some way or the other either at our homes, at restaurants or in the office cafeterias.  It is estimated that over 250 kgs of food is getting wasted  in our cafeterias daily because team members take extra food but do not consume it!

Here are a few simple tips that could help reduce food wastage at our homes, at restaurants or in the office cafeterias:
·         When at home, look in your kitchen cupboards, fridge and freezer. A lot of food wastage can be reduced by knowing what provisions you already have and need to be used up before you shop next for the provisions

·         Where and how we store the provisions we buy makes a big difference to how long they last and how much gets wasted. Use the provisions with the closest expiry date for cooking first and store safely the others that can be used later

·         While serving food and eating, either breakfast, lunch, snacks or dinner, be it at home, at a restaurant or in the office, please ensure that you take only what you can eat and do not waste food. Take only what is needed and never over-fill your plates resulting in wastage.
O
Often people throw food, if they dont taste nice. Instead think once about the people who are starving days long for getting few bread crumbs or a glass of water. If we care enough then for sure the day will come when there wont be scarcity for either food or for water.

·         You could look for local organizations that collect prepared food from homes, restaurants, caterers and corporate cafeterias and promptly distribute to the hungry people in the communities.

Any other ideas are heartily invited via comments.

Let us feed the hungry, not the landfills.

I am with you Darling..

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a Loving couple and the boy was the gem of their eyes.

When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for office so he asked his wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. His wife, preoccupied in the kitchen totally forgot about the open medicine bottle.
The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the bottle fascinated by its colour and drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine Meant for adults in small dosages. When the child collapsed, mother hurried him to the hospital, where he died. The mother was stunned. She was terrified how to face her husband.
When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just five words.
The husband just said "I am with you Darling." The husband's totally unexpected reaction is a proactive behaviour.
The Child is dead. He can never be brought back to life.
There is no point in finding fault with the mother. Besides, if only he had taken time to keep the bottle away, this would not have happened.
No one is to be blamed. She had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he gave her.
If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world. "A journey of a thousand miles Begins with a single step." Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness and fears. And you will find things are actually not as difficult as you think.
Moral of the Story:
Sometimes we spend time in asking who is responsible or whom to blame, whether in a relationship, in a job or with the people we know. By this way we miss out some warmth in human relationship.

What's the best way to invest in gold? - equitymaster.com

In our previous articles, we discussed the pros and cons of investing in gold . We then talked about one way of investing in gold, i.e., physical gold . We discussed the merits and demerits of each way. But one thing that was common to all of them was the storage and insurance of holding gold in its physical form. The costs involved can eat away the gains. And not all investors like that. So the next best way is to invest in the non-physical format of gold. And this is exactly what we intend to discuss in this article.

Investing in non-physical gold

This can be done in either/ all of these ways-

ETFs - This is one of the most talked about ways when it comes to gold investing. The exchange traded funds or the ETFs. Conceptually, an ETF is a stock like security. It is traded on the stock exchange like any other stock. And in the same way that a stock has a company behind it, an ETF has the underlying asset behind it or in this case gold. The ETF owns the gold which is deposited in a bank vault. Therefore the value of the ETF security is equivalent to the gold being held by the fund.

The good part about holding an ETF is that it frees an investor from the innate hassle of holding and storing gold. The securities are held in the investor's demat account like any other stock. And like most stocks, the liquidity is high which means that the investors can buy and sell at a moment's notice. The best part is that the movement of the investment value mirrors the performance of actual gold. And the investor can invest in smaller amounts as well. Something that is difficult when it comes to buying physical gold.

But the drawback is the fees involved. The ETFs do charge a fee which is a percentage of the total investment made. In addition to that, some ETFs also charge for storing the underlying gold in the bank vault. But these are still lower than what one would pay for storing physical gold. Despite the difficulties, ETFs still provide a convenient and easy way of investing in gold.

Gold company stocks - The second way to invest in gold is the indirect way. The investor can invest in the stocks of companies whose underlying business is gold. This could be through owning gold mining or gold refining stocks. The underlying assumption in investing in this way is that the fortunes of these companies and hence their earnings are dependent on and mirror the performance of gold. Herein lies the merit as well as the demerit of this form of investment. The merit is again that it reduces the hassle of investing in physical gold.

But the demerit is that the company's performance maybe very different from the performance of gold itself. Every company has its own fundamental strength and weakness. In addition to this there are so many other things like macro factors, company's management, its vision, its cost structure, etc that can affect its performance. For example in case of a gold mining company, it may not get the license or the discovery may fall short of expectations, etc. Therefore the performance of the stock may not necessarily be in line with that of gold itself.

Gold derivatives - The commodity exchange has derivative products where the underlying commodity is gold. Futures and options provide another way of investing in non-physical gold. What you need is an account with a commodity broker and you can get started. Like any other account there are brokerage and account charges involved but like any other derivative, the potential for gains (and of course losses) is high too. The charges tend to get offset by the gains.

The problem with investing in gold derivatives is the quantum of money required. Derivatives usually trade in lots which mean that the initial investment amount required may not be for all small investors. In addition to this, the liquidity of some type of contracts maybe low. As a result the desired contract may or may not always be available.

Other ways - Other non physical forms of gold could be something like a fund of fund. This is a mutual fund that holds other gold related funds as its units. Another way could be to hold a global gold fund that invests in the stocks of gold companies listed in global exchanges. Gold certificates are also an option. However these certificates are currently not offered in India. But it is proposed to be introduced soon.

Overall, investing in physical gold works well for investors who prefer to hold on to something tangible. But for those who wish to avoid the hassles of delivery and storage, the non physical form works well too. The advantages of non-physical gold are aplenty. They provide an easy way of investment for even small ticket investments. The liquidity is high and the performance is similar to that of gold. But unlike physical gold there is nothing tangible that you have in hand.

With this we have given you the various ways in which you can invest in gold. So go ahead and invest if you want to. Happy investing!

Human Brain Analysis - Man vs. Woman

Human Brain Analysis - Man vs. Woman......A MUST READ!

1. MULTI-TASKING
Women - Multiple process
Womens brains designed to concentrate multiple task at a time.
Women can Watch a TV and Talk over phone and cook.
Men - Single Process
Mens brains designed to concentrate only one work at a time. Men can not watch TV and talk over the phone at the same time. they stop the TV while Talking. They can either watch TV or talk over the phone or cook.

2. LANGUAGE
Women can easily learn many languages. But can not find solutions to problems. Men can not easily learn languages, they can easily solve problems. That's why in average a 3 years old girl has three times higher vocabulary than a 3 yeard old boy.

3. ANALYTICAL SKILLS
Mens brains has a lot of space for handling the analytical process. They can analyze and find the solution for a process and design a map of a building easily. But If a complex map is viewed by women, they can not understand it. Women can not understand the details of a map easily, For them it is just a dump of lines on a paper.

4. CAR DRIVING.
While driving a car, mans analytical spaces are used in his brain. He can drive a car fastly. If he sees an object at long distance, immediately his brain classifies the object (bus or van or car) direction and speed of the object and he drives accordingly. Where woman take a long time to recognize the object direction/ speed. Mans single process mind stops the audio in the car (if any), then concentrates only on driving.

5. LYING
When men lie to women face to face, they get caught easily. Womans super natural brain observes facial expression 70%, body language 20% and words coming from the mouth 10%. Mens brain does not have this. Women easily lie to men face to face.
So guys, do not lie face to face.

6. PROBLEMS SOLVING
If a man have a lot of problems, his brain clearly classifies the problems and puts them in individual rooms in the brain and then finds the solution one by one. You can see many guys looking at the sky for a long time. If a woman has a lot of problems, her brain can not classify the problems. she wants some one to hear that. After telling everything to a person she goes happily to bed. She does not worry about the problems being solved or not.

7. WHAT THEY WANT
Men want status, success, solutions, big process, etc... But Women want relationship, friends, family, etc...

8. UNHAPPINESS
If women are unhappy with their relations, they can not concentrate on their work. If men are unhappy with their work, they can not concentrate on the relations.

9. SPEECH
Women use indirect language in speech. But Men use direct language.

10. HANDLING EMOTION
Women talk a lot without thinking. Men act a lot without thinking.

Towards a Fulfilling Happy & Prosperous life

Our never ending Desire & ever lasting  Expectations are the root cause of all sufferings... We cant abandon these urges, but at least can re-direct our DESIRES towards attaining ultimate peace & happiness in Lord's Lotus feet & STOP EXPECTING for anything from anyone Except from The All Merciful Almighty... This will surely eliminate our anxieties & lead us towards a Fulfilling happy & Prosperous  life... JSK...

Two Worst Enemies in the path of your success

Just as self-discipline is the key to success, the lack of self-discipline is the major cause of failure, frustration, underachievement, and unhappiness in life. It causes us to make excuses and sell ourselves short.

Perhaps the Two biggest enemies of Success, Happiness and Personal fulfillment, are
1. The Path of Least Resistance and
2. The Expediency Factor.

The Path of Least Resistance is what causes people to take the easy way in almost every situation.
They seek shortcuts to everything. They arrive at work at the last minute and leave at the first opportunity. They look for get-rich-quick schemes and easy money.
Over time, they develop the habit of always seeking an easier, faster way to get the things they want rather than doing what is hard but necessary to achieve real success.

The Expediency Factor, which is an extension of the law of least resistance, is even worse when leading people to failure and underachievement.
This principle says, most people do what is expedient, what is fun and easy rather than what is necessary for success.
Every day, and every minute of every day, there is a battle going on inside of you between doing what is right, hard, and necessary (like the angel on one shoulder) or doing what is fun, easy, and of little or no value (like the devil on your other shoulder).
Every minute of every day, you must fight and win this battle with the Expediency Factor and resist the pull of the Path of Least Resistance if you truly desire to become everything you are capable of becoming.
